Video tapes
VHS, VHS-C, S-VHS, Video8, Hi8, Digital8 and MiniDV. If it went in a camcorder or a video recorder, it comes into our workshop.
Tapes are cleaned, checked and played through in real time on professional decks with time-base correction, so the picture stays steady instead of wobbling and dropping out. Sound is captured alongside, in sync.
You get one file per tape by default, trimmed so it stops when the recording does rather than running on into an hour of grey static.

Cine film
Standard 8mm and Super 8 reels, scanned properly rather than filmed off a wall.
Cine is the format people most often assume is beyond saving. It rarely is. Each reel is inspected, splices are repaired, the film is cleaned and then scanned.
Magnetic or optical sound is captured where the reel has it.

Slides and negatives
Carousels of 35mm slides and rolls of negatives, scanned at a resolution that still looks good when printed large.
Slides and negatives are scanned at 3000 dpi, which is enough resolution that a frame still looks good printed large.
Everything comes back in folders that follow the order you gave them to us, so a carousel stays a carousel rather than becoming two thousand loose files.

A short note per tape saying what is on it and how long it runs, so you know before you sit down to watch.

Every tape, reel and slide comes home with you. Nothing is kept, thrown away or recycled without asking.

Rush turnaround
Around five working days instead of the usual twenty-one, where the tape count allows it. Tell us the date you need it by and we will tell you honestly whether we can meet it.

Upscaling and clean-up using AI tools, to sharpen a soft picture and steady heavy grain. Priced per tape, but only where it genuinely helps.
